I'm still not sure I trust the BLS and their employment numbers. The jobs report was good and I want to believe that 500,000 foreign born workers are now "off the rolls", the government is no longer hiring, and that Americans are being hired everywhere but then I keep reading of continued job losses coming from the tech industry where it is likely that A.I. is eliminating jobs... rapidly. Call it skepticism after several years of misleading reports but I suppose I'll wait to see what the annual adjustment is next February / March before I believe in the BLS again.

I do agree with your skepticism about the BLS employment numbers. Don't be surprised if they don't "adjust" them downward over the next month or two.

AI is being used as an excuse to fire employees because it goes over better than "We want more profit." AI is certainly not ready for primetime. It has no idea what is true and what is not; that is, no true discernment like an individual has. Recently, one AI application made up phony book titles for known authors.

I also don't agree with the article's statement, "This trend has helped increase the average American’s weekly paycheck, which has risen faster than inflation since President Trump took office in January." We all know Washington's inflation numbers have been rigged so they don't measure inflation the same way it was in the late 70s/early 80s. The government steals from us via inflation and one way to do that is by making it disappear via the "official" numbers. Then they can pretend inflation is low and so stiff Social Security recipients.
